Charlene Wang is the Co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer of Zyphe, a privacy-first identity verification platform designed to help companies securely and seamlessly onboard users while preserving individual privacy. As a founding member of the Zyphe team, Charlene is responsible for shaping and scaling the company’s go-to-market strategy, bringing together her deep expertise across fintech, SaaS, and enterprise technology.
Charlene brings over a decade of experience leading marketing, product, and revenue functions at high-growth technology companies. Prior to founding Zyphe, she served as Vice President and Head of Marketing at Qualia, a leading software platform used by real estate and mortgage companies to modernize the closing process for millions of home buyers. At Qualia, Charlene was a member of the executive team and led the end-to-end marketing organization, spanning demand generation, product marketing, brand, content, field, and operations. Her leadership supported the company’s growth, while contributing to more scalable operations. She spearheaded the development of key marketing infrastructure, improved pipeline quality through strategic channel focus, and oversaw the company’s highest-rated customer conference.
Previously, Charlene was Vice President of Product and Partner Marketing at Worldpay, a division of FIS Global. In this role, she led go-to-market strategy for Worldpay for Platforms, a $1.3B embedded payments business. She was instrumental in repositioning the Payrix product line to better differentiate against competitors such as Stripe and helped define and evangelize the category of Embedded Payments, influencing key industry analysts and driving category adoption.
Charlene also served as Vice President of Marketing at Fin, a data analytics SaaS company backed by Coatue, Accel, Kleiner Perkins, and First Round Capital. As a member of the leadership team, she built and led the company’s marketing and growth functions, including product, brand, digital, and web. Under her leadership, the company significantly increased sales pipeline while lowering acquisition costs, rebranded and repositioned its offerings, and implemented account-based marketing to improve deal size and velocity.
From 2016 to 2021, Charlene held several leadership roles at Coupa Software, a market leader in Business Spend Management. During her tenure, she played a key role in contributing to Coupa’s growth from $60M to over $725M in annual revenue and contributed to its successful IPO and subsequent expansion. As Director of Product and Segment Marketing, she led major product launches—including Coupa Pay—and built an award-winning product marketing team. She also contributed to Coupa’s strategic initiatives, including pricing and packaging strategy, customer acquisition models, and integration of acquired companies.
Charlene began her career in strategic advisory roles at McKinsey & Company and in corporate strategy roles at EMC and VMware, where she worked on pricing, channel enablement, and go-to-market transformation for enterprise software and services businesses. She also brings experience in investment banking from Morgan Stanley.
Charlene holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she graduated with honors and was a Rock Entrepreneurship Fellow. She earned her AB in Economics, cum laude, from Harvard College, where she held leadership roles at Harvard Student Agencies and served as Director of the Cronin Center for Enterprise.
