Zyphe publishes writing about anti-money laundering, identity verification and corporate ownership rules. People make compliance decisions after reading this kind of material, so this page sets out how it is produced, who is accountable for it, and what happens when we get something wrong. If you find an error, the fastest route to a correction is our contact page.
Who writes and who reviews
Every article carries a named author and, where the subject is regulatory, a named reviewer. Authors and reviewers are Zyphe staff whose day job is the subject they are writing about, not anonymous contributors. Author pages list what each person is accountable for. A piece does not publish without a reviewer who is a different person from the author.
How we source regulatory facts
Any statement about what a law, rule or regulator requires is verified against a primary source before publication. In practice that means the instrument itself or the issuing body: the Federal Register and the electronic Code of Federal Regulations, EUR-Lex, a regulator's own publication, or a court's own filing.
- We read the rule, not a summary of it. Summaries routinely drop the conditionals and exceptions that decide whether an obligation applies to a reader.
- We do not source regulatory claims from vendor blogs, including our own, and we do not treat another vendor's marketing page as evidence of what the law requires.
- Dates and status are stated precisely. A proposal is described as a proposal, and an instrument that applies from a future date is dated to that date.
- Anything we cannot verify is cut rather than softened into a vaguer version of the same claim.
How we handle our own numbers
Quantified claims about Zyphe live in a single internal registry rather than being retyped per page, and each carries a status: verified against an external source, internal and measured by us, or attested by a named person without a filed document reference. Pages that state a figure read it from that registry, so a change of status reaches every page at once. Figures that fail review are retired from the registry and removed from the site, and the significant ones are recorded at corrections.
How we write about competitors
Zyphe sells the products it writes about, and comparison pages are marketing whoever publishes them. We manage that in three ways rather than pretending it away. Any figure attributed to another company is that company's own published claim, taken from its own site and labelled as a self-reported claim rather than an audited fact. Where a competitor is the better answer for a given buyer, the page says so. And the commercial interest is disclosed inside the article, not only in a footer.
Use of AI, and the limits on it
We use AI tooling in research and drafting, and it never has the last word. Generated text is treated as an unverified draft: every factual claim in it is checked against a primary source by a person before it is published, and automated drafts pass the same mechanical quality gate and the same named human review as anything else. No article publishes on the strength of a model's assertion alone. We do not generate fake reviews, fake case studies, fake first-hand experience, or invented statistics under any circumstances.
Advertising, sponsorship and affiliate links
Zyphe does not sell advertising or sponsored placement on this site, and does not publish affiliate links. No third party pays to appear in, or be excluded from, our comparisons. If that ever changes, the arrangement will be disclosed on the page it affects and this policy will be updated first.
Updates and corrections
Compliance material dates quickly. Articles carry the date they were last reviewed, and material substantive changes are logged publicly at corrections rather than edited silently. Our full corrections practice, including how quickly we act and how we mark a corrected page, is set out on that page.
This is not legal advice
Everything published here is general information about how rules and technology work. It is not legal advice, it is not tailored to your circumstances, and it does not create any professional relationship. Obligations differ by jurisdiction, licence and business model. Confirm your own position with your compliance function or your own counsel before acting.
